Scope and Preparation

1. Who this applies to

• This manual is for the AlphaESS Portal business interface (B-side) used by Installation Partners (installer organisations), and covers account activation and login, organisation and member management, new system installation, monitoring and maintenance, and data export.
• Organisation types: The organisation Category is assigned by AlphaESS. An organisation that is also a Distributor / Retailer additionally has the distributor functions described in the "Distributor Operations" chapter; a pure installer organisation does not see those menus.
• Account sources: The person in charge of a new installer organisation is invited by AlphaESS or an authorised distributor (and becomes the organisation's Administrator), or creates the organisation's first account via Sign up. Other administrators and installation technicians are added by an organisation administrator under Organization → Members (see Account Activation and Login).
• Role differences: The menus in the Side Bar vary depending on your role and regional configuration, so always go by what you actually see on screen.

2. Tools and materials

• A computer with an up-to-date web browser and a working network connection, to access https://portal.alphaess.com/.
• The email address of your AlphaESS business account (or the invitation email you received) and its password.
• The server region of your organisation's workspace (such as Europe or Southeast Asia) — device data is stored on the regional server selected when the device was registered.
• An available License bound to your organisation (issued by your upstream Distributor / Retailer or by AlphaESS), required for installing new systems.
• For each installation: the System SN and Check code from the device nameplate, and the owner's (end user's) email address. The device should already be wired on site, powered up and connected to the network.
