EV Charger
When your system includes an EV charger, the AlphaESS App manages it as part of the home energy system.
View charging status

On the Home page or the EV charger device page, you can view:
Whether the electric vehicle is charging
Current charging power
When the charger is in operation, its power will be shown in the energy flow diagram.
Source of power used for charging
During charging, power may come from:
PV generation
Energy storage system
The grid
The system will automatically allocate available power based on the current energy status.
Relation to household energy use
The charger’s electricity consumption is included in the household’s total electricity statistics
In the energy charts, charger consumption is displayed as part of the household load
This helps you understand the impact of EV charging on the household energy profile
Charger settings
In systems connected to AlphaESS chargers, you can make simple configurations to the charger’s charging behavior to better match the household energy status.

Explanation of configurable items
Depending on device model and system version, you may be able to set:
Enable or disable the charger
Different charging strategies
Allowed maximum charging current or power
Whether to prioritize using PV or system power for charging
These settings will affect power allocation and power sources when charging the EV.
Usage tips
Charging behavior will affect the day’s electricity consumption and profits statistics
Charging power may vary with household load and generation conditions
When available energy is insufficient, the system may use grid power
If you are unsure about the meaning of settings, it is recommended to keep the system defaults
Tip: Some settings may only be available for specific models or regions; please refer to what is actually shown in the App.
