Bind Third-Party Device - Shelly
Before binding a Shelly device to the home energy system, you need to log in to Shelly Smart Control (APP) or control.shelly.cloud first, and then add the corresponding device to your Shelly account.
Shelly Energy Meter
The Shelly Energy Meter is only used for monitoring the household electricity meter in balcony photovoltaic products and can be bound through the following three types of entrances:
Enter through the grid side of the home page, click "Third-party Device Shelly" as instructed on the APP page, and select the device to run as a Grid Meter.
Enter through the self-use mode on the home page mode page, and click "Third-party Device Shelly" as instructed on the APP page to select the device to operate as a Grid Meter.
On the home page or device list page, click the "+" button in the top right corner, select "Add Device", and according to the instructions on the APP page, click "Third- party Device Shelly" to select the device to run as a Grid Meter.
During the device binding process, please ensure that the device is powered on and waiting for network configuration.
Please ensure that the home/public network you are using can access the Internet normally
After the device is bound, there will be a device status check for about 30 seconds. Please wait patiently.
If it prompts that the device is already bound, please first unbind the device from the original bound home energy system.
Failure to connect the Shelly Energy Meter to the incoming side as required will result in abnormal data display for this device
Shelly Plug
On the home page or device list page, click the "+" button in the upper right corner, select "Add Device", and then click "Third-party Device Shelly" as instructed by the APP page to select device authorization for access and operation.
During the device binding process, please ensure that the device is powered on and waiting for network configuration.
Please ensure that the home/public network you are using can access the Internet normally
After the device is bound, there will be a device status check for about 30 seconds. Please wait patiently.
If it prompts that the device is already bound, please first unbind the device from the original bound home energy system.
