# EV Charger

### View Charging Status

<div><figure><img src="/files/a784e0668424c8647c1bdaacef5a94353c433de6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/f523e069eafae7dedc386f9e82d5576ae11ec49a" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/395db353d79d104d3546addffbac6479124dd89c" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

**On the Home page or the EV charger device page, you can view:**

* Whether the electric vehicle is charging
* Current charging power

When the EV charger is in operation, its power will be displayed in the energy flow diagram.<br>

**Source of power used for charging**

During charging, the power may come from:

* PV generation
* Energy storage system
* Grid

The system will automatically allocate available power based on the current energy status.<br>

**Relationship with household energy use**

* The EV charger's electricity consumption will be included in the household's total electricity usage statistics
* In the energy chart, EV charger electricity usage will be shown as part of the household load
* This helps you understand the impact of EV charging on the household energy structure

### EV Charger Settings

In systems that have an AlphaESS EV charger connected, you can simply configure the charging behavior of the EV charger to better match the household energy status.

**Description of Configurable Items**

Depending on the device model and system version, you may be able to set:

* Enable or disable the EV charger
* Different charging strategies
* Maximum allowed charging current or power
* Whether to prioritize PV or system power for charging

These settings will affect the power allocation and power source when charging the electric vehicle.<br>

**Usage Tips**

* Charging behavior will affect the daily electricity usage and profit statistics
* Charging power may vary depending on household load and generation conditions
* When available energy is insufficient, the system may use grid power
* If you are unsure about the meaning of a setting, it is recommended to keep the system default configuration
